Chamonix Offers a Superb Area for Snowboarding Holidays

March 20, 2009

Chamonix town sits at the base of the wonderful Mont Blanc in France, only 1hr with Ski Transfers from Geneva airport, and is often recognized as the mountaineering and extreme skiing epi centre of the world. Chamonix is known as a real area for extreme activities during both summer and winter. Chamonix was home to the 1st Winter games back in the early 1920s - however it is also an area of outstanding views providing much to the adventurous climber and vacationer.

However unlike many modern skiing domains the town of Chamonix is not a new ski area and has been mostly preserved from the concrete monstrosities which scars a lot of the Alps. It’s fortunate to have not only an internationally famous skiing mountain on the other hand a classic and energetic town centre.

The town is large enough to guarantee there is plenty enough for the holiday maker to do. For whatever type of holiday theres something to enrapture everyone. Including a big sports complex, ice rink, husky sledding and local market; and loads of designer shops, terraced caf©s and night-clubs, it privides a mix of climbing, atmosphere and going out, that not many mountain resorts can equal. Go on and research that ski vacation at once.
